World Snooker Championship star makes ‘shot of the tournament’ with Mark Allen in awe
Mark Allen was left astounded as Si Jiahui pulled off what the Northern Irishman dubbed the “shot of the Championships” just three days into the World Snooker Championship. The Chinese sensation was pitted against David Gilbert in his opening game of the tournament on Monday and will carry over a 6-3 lead as play resumes at 7pm on Tuesday.
And it was during the eighth frame in which Si played a stunning shot that left many fans and fellow players alike completely stunned. After Gilbert tucked the ball neatly on the cushion, Si stepped up to dig it with force towards a cornered red on the opposite side of the baize. The ball bounced along the the table before sending the intending target into the left corner pocket, before perfectly positioning itself on the black.
