UK set to host 2035 Women’s World Cup as ‘one valid bid’

The United Kingdom is almost certain to host the 2035 Women’s World Cup after FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced it is the “one valid bid” for the tournament.
The football associations of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales announced last month they would submit a joint bid to host the finals in 10 years’ time.
It means that, assuming the UK’s bid is ratified at next year’s FIFA congress, a first football World Cup since 1966 will take place in Britain.
