Tottenham look to face a fierce battle to coax either Marco Silva or Andoni Iraola to the club if they decide to part ways with Ange Postecoglou.
The under-fire Spurs boss has seen the constant pressure on his position ramp up significantly again in the aftermath of a wretched 4-2 defeat away at Wolves on Sunday – a 17th loss from 32 Premier League games this season that left them sitting 15th and only two points above their opponents.
However, initial reports on Tuesday that Iraola is “inclined” to remain at Bournemouth beyond the summer have been followed by the BBC stating that the Cherries’ American owner Bill Foley will fly to England this week with the intention of opening formal talks with the Spaniard over extending a contract that runs until the end of next season.
