Tottenham: Aston Villa oppose Spurs fixture change before Europa League final
Aston Villa have written to the Premier League to formally oppose Tottenham’s request to reschedule the clubs’ meeting on Sunday, May 18.
Spurs have requested the match be moved to aid their chances in a potential Europa League final, which will be held in Bilbao just three days later on May 21.
The Villains, who are chasing a top-five finish and a return to next season’s Champions League, have pointed out to the league that they have consistently played every three or four days this term.
