Rory McIlroy takes part in secret experiment in bid to finally end Masters wait

Rory McIlroy has enjoyed huge success during his career so far but is taking action as he attempts to finally end his long wait for a Masters crown following his heart-breaking miss in 2024

Rory McIlory has literally locked himself away in an effort to build a new swing as he eyes the first Masters title of his career. The Northern Irishman has enjoyed huge success over the past decade having won three of golf’s major tournaments – albeit with his last coming more than a decade ago.

But there is still one thing that alludes to the 35-year-old: The Masters. He infamously led the tournament by four strokes in 2011 – only to suffer a back-nine meltdown to ultimately finish 10 shots adrift. He also came close in 2022 having finished second behind Scottie Scheffler.
