Unai Emery goes up against former club for place in the semi-finals
Aston Villa look to upset the odds as they travel to take on PSG tonight in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie. Unai Emery returns to his former club and will be eyeing a result that keeps the visitors in the tie heading back to Villa Park next week.
It has been a superb return to Europe’s top table for Villa so far this season, finishing eighth in the league phase of the competition to go straight through to the last-16. They then cruised past Club Brugge to book their place in the last-eight, in a season in which they have also reached the FA Cup semi-finals and sit seventh in the Premier League.
