Pep Guardiola gives eight-word reaction to Erling Haaland injury as striker limps off

Pep Guardiola has provided an update on Erling Haaland after the Manchester City star was taken off with an injury during their FA Cup quarter-final 2-1 victory over Bournemouth. The Norwegian was unable to continue after picking up an ankle injury with an hour gone at the Vitality Stadium. The 24-year-old was seen hobbling around and fell to the floor in pain, which caused a stir as Bournemouth refused to put the ball out of play.
Guardiola decided not to risk his star striker and replaced him with Omar Marmoush a minute later. Speaking after the game about Haaland’s substitution, the Catalan boss was coy about the extent of the injury sustained by his top goalscorer as City prepare for a crucial run of games to try and secure Champions League qualification. “I don’t know yet, we have to see,” the 54-year-old said.
