North Yorkshire football match abandoned as referee finds poo in shoe
AN investigation has been opened after a match in the York Football League Premier Division was abandoned at half-time – after the referee discovered poo in one of his shoes.
The grassroots football match between Old Malton St Mary’s and Malt Shovel saw a feisty first-half which had the latter leading 2-1 at the break.
