Newcastle bus parade LIVE: Route and road closures as 150,000 celebrate Carabao Cup win
Newcastle United are expecting over 150,000 supporters to turn out and celebrate their Carabao Cup final victory in style today, having ended their 70-year trophy drought earlier this month with a win over Liverpool at Wembley. An open-top bus parade through Newcastle city centre will leave St James’ Park as fans line the streets to see the trophy held aloft.
Celebrity guests including Alan Shearer and Ant & Dec are expected to be involved at the Town Moor event alongside players, with final heroes Dan Burn, Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak joining boss Eddie Howe.
