The Neeraj Chopra Classic, an elite javelin throw competition named after India’s Olympic gold medallist and World Champion, has been confirmed for May 2025. The event is expected to attract top global javelin throwers. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming edition including dates.
We are not very far from the Neeraj Chopra Classic javelin throw competition as the event has been confirmed for 24 May 2025 at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana. The event which has been named NC Classic was confirmed by World Athletics.
It will be a one-day javelin throw event and has been classified as a World Athletics ‘A’ category event which is equal to a Continental Tour Gold-level competition in ranking points. Launched in 2020 as the successor to the World Challenge series, the Continental Tour is a second-tier global athletics circuit below the Diamond League. It comprises four tiers: gold, silver, bronze, and challenger.
