Max Verstappen’s new team-mate gets immediate warning as Martin Brundle raises theory

After a hectic weekend in the world of Formula 1, Yuki Tsunoda has been warned his Red Bull switch could be a poisoned chalice, while Martin Brundle has thoughts on Lewis Hamilton’s Shanghai blunder
Major changes are set to be implemented in Formula 1 just a few weeks into the new season. Racing Bulls star Yuki Tsunoda will make his Red Bull debut next month after replacing Liam Lawson, while Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari fate looks uncertain after both he and Charles Leclerc were disqualified at the conclusion of Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix.
On the face of things, Tsunoda’s promotion to become Max Verstappen’s latest partner has the potential to be the most significant switch of his career. But former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher – younger brother of seven-time world champion Michael – has sent some words of caution and suggested Lawson may, in fact, be better placed to succeed with Racing Bulls ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.
