Masters weather: Latest forecast for Augusta as storms clear on day one
Rain earlier in the week halted practice, but conditions have quickly improved

Competitors and spectators are set for a week of mostly clear weather ahead of the 89th Masters tournament.

Weather is always a factor at the Masters, with at least one session being suspended in each of the last six editions of the competition, and this year is no different. Rain has already disrupted the event as thunderstorms hit during Monday morning’s practice rounds, ending the day’s proceedings just three hours after the course had opened as lightning remained in the area through the afternoon.
