It’s day three at Augusta as the contenders for the green jacket take shape. A thrilling Friday saw Rory McIlroy recover from a disappointing round to card a six-under and overtake Scottie Scheffler, who bogeyed the last after getting the worst of the afternoon winds over Georgia.
But Justin Rose sits atop the leaderboard as he followed up his opening seven-under round with a one-under on day two. The two-time runner-up struggled with his back nine on Friday but remains a strong threat to win just his second major. Elsewhere, the likes of Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry remain in contention, along with Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg.
