Manchester City will continue their push for Champions League qualification on Wednesday as they host relegation strugglers Leicester City at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be without their talismanic striker Erling Haaland, who injured his left ankle on Sunday as City eased past Bournemouth with a 1-2 win in the FA Cup quarter-final. He will be out for up to seven weeks, returning in time for the last round of Premier League fixtures and the inaugural Club World Cup.
To win against City would go a long way in trimming the nine-point deficit to safety, as fellow relegation candidates Ipswich Town, Southampton, and Wolves are all winless against City in league play this season.
