Luke Littler has accused German crowds of being anti-English following the jeers that plagued his appearance at the Premier League Darts meeting in Berlin last week. Last night in Manchester, ‘The Nuke’ beat Gerwyn Price in an exhilarating quarter-final before losing to Luke Humphries and now sits five points clear of the world No.1 at the top of the table.
But before he stepped up the oche at his home tournament, Littler recalled the controversy from Germany. The vociferous audience targeted him throughout his match with Chris Dobey, and the star reacted to the abuse. He eventually left the stage looking visibly angry after his surprise 6-2 defeat.
