Longstanding Bolton Hospital Cup gets under way again

This season’s Bolton Hospital Cup competition is now under way, with one first round game already played, and a further five more due to take place in the coming week.
Established in 1930, the competition has the dual aim of raising money for designated charities, while promoting local football, and this season’s competition has once again been well supported by clubs around the area, with 16 sides taking part.
The organising committee is headed by Turton FC chairman, Peter Gray, who is looking forward to a busy few weeks of cup football.
