Liverpool win the Premier League as Reds match Man Utd on 20 titles

Liverpool have been crowned the 2024-25 Premier League champions after their 5-1 win against Tottenham at Anfield. Thanks to Crystal Palace’s 2-2 draw at second-placed Arsenal on Wednesday night, the Reds needed just a point against Spurs to mathematically confirm their 20th English top-flight title. And they got a full three points thanks to goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah and a Destiny Udogie own goal after Dominic Solanke had put Spurs in front.
The Reds have won it with four games to spare after building a commanding lead over Arsenal. They are back on the perch following a frenetic and breathless campaign, in which new boss Arne Slot has defied the odds and surged to the summit at the first time of asking, despite securing only one new recruit at the start of the campaign. Slot has used the framework left behind by Jurgen Klopp to drive Liverpool to become the kings of England once more, having lost just twice all season to date.
