Liverpool failed to capitalise on a chance to go 14 points clear at the top of the Premier League table and fell 3-2 to a spirited Fulham side. Alexis Mac Allister, an at-times unsung hero of Arne Slot’s Liverpool, picked up the ball in Fulham’s half and drove a powerful effort past Bernd Leno from range.
A barrage of mistakes at the back saw Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz find the back of the net within 14 minutes to stun the league leaders. Liverpool were shellshocked and disjointed, unable to match their opponents, and crumbled to defeat in London despite substitute Luis Diaz’s second-half effort.
