Johnny Sexton: Ireland legend joins British & Irish Lions coaching staff for Australia tour
Former fly-half will reunite with Andy Farrell this summer ahead of a full-time coaching position with the IRFU
Former Ireland captain Johnny Sexton has been appointed as an assistant coach to Andy Farrell for this summer’s British & Irish Lions tour.
The 39-year-old will take up a full-time coaching position with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) on his return from the series in Australia.
“I am hugely excited to continue the next chapter in my coaching journey with the British and Irish Lions and I would like to thank Andy for this incredible opportunity,” Sexton said in a statement.
