Grand National 2025: Horse-by-horse guide and runners in full for Aintree race
I Am Maximus a firm favourite for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend
The 2025 Grand National is only a day away and the final field has been confiremd, with all 34 runners standing their ground at Thursday morning’s final declaration stage.
The Aintree showpiece headlines this week’s three-day meeting at the Liverpool track, with last year’s winner I Am Maximus still on course to defend his crown.
In addition to the 34-strong field, four reserves have been named: Shakem Up’Arry, Roi Mage, Favori De Champdou, Fantastic Lady. For any of those horses to be involveed however, a current runner must be withdrawn before 1pm on Friday.
