Former Man United striker Rashford says he’s ‘getting fitter and better’ at Aston Villa

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim had questioned Marcus Rashford’s work ethics but the striker feels that he is getting better at Aston Villa. Rashford scored two goals for Villa in FA Cup.

Former Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is “enjoying” his football since moving to fellow premier League club Aston Villa on loan. Rashford scored his first two goals for his new club on Sunday as Villa won 3-0 against second-tier side Preston North End to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

Rashford, who has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances for his hometown club United, was forced to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window after falling out with current Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim.

While Amorim questioned Rashford’s work ethic, the 27-year-old England striker said he is “getting fitter and better” at Villa. In a candid press conference, Amorim had also said that he would rather put a goalkeeper coach on the bench
than a player not giving their all.
