F1 LIVE: Max Verstappen mocks Red Bull as star set for mega £52k fine
Formula One is in Bahrain for the fourth Grand Prix of the season. It has so far been a disappointing weekend for Max Verstappen, whose Red Bull clearly remains some way off the pace of McLaren despite the Dutchman’s first victory of the season in Japan last week.
Verstappen could only mock the quality of his car after an FP2 session which showed evidence of him slipping further away in his hunt for a fifth consecutive world title. Meanwhile, McLaren will be buoyed by their own performance and will hope that Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri can claim pole position in today’s qualifying.
