Emma Raducanu enjoys world ranking leap again as Jess Pegula gets one over Coco Gauff

Emma Raducanu continued her steady climb back up the WTA rankings despite not playing in the last week. The Brit recently returned to the world’s top 50 for the first time in more than two years thanks to her quarter-final run at the Miami Open. Raducanu has since decided to skip Britain’s Billie Jean King Cup qualifier ties, but that didn’t stop her rising in the rankings.

Meanwhile, Jessica Pegula leapfrogged Coco Gauff to become the top-ranked American after lifting her eighth career title in Charleston. Pegula now sits at No. 3 in the world, sending her countrywoman down to fourth place.
