Daniel Dubois trainer claims Oleksandr Usyk 'conned boxing world' after low blow controversy

Daniel Dubois’ trainer has accused Oleksandr Usyk of “conning the boxing world” and even questioned his religion in a fiery clash ahead of their summer rematch.

After Monday’s tense face-off at Wembley Stadium in which Dubois made headlines for shoving Usyk, the respective heavyweight rivals returned on Tuesday for a first press conference ahead of their confirmed London showdown on June 19 which will see undisputed status up for grabs once again in boxing’s glamour division.

However, the post-fight discourse was dominated by the controversy in the fifth round, when Usyk was sent down by what Dubois thought was a body shot that was actually ruled a low blow by referee Luis Pabon as the champion was given four minutes to recover.
