Daisy Hill’s hopes of ending their campaign in the North West Counties League First Division North on a winning note were dashed when they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Ashton Town on Saturday, writes Ian Templeman.
In front of over 800 spectators, attracted by the presence of social media creators and specialist food vendors, Jake O’Brien had given Daisy the lead with a penalty before Will Hamilton levelled the scores before half time.
