Bolton Wanderers boss Steven Schumacher’s case for defence
STEVEN Schumacher has confidence that Wanderers can remain defensively sound as they push for a play-off spot in the final nine games of the season.
Clean sheets have been relatively thin on the ground for the Whites in the league, with only Peterborough United, Cambridge United, Barnsley and Shrewsbury Town keeping fewer to date.
Of those, only the 0-0 draw at Wrexham on March 1 was earned under Schumacher’s watch, with the Whites also conceding first in eight of their 10 outings under the new head coach.
Bolton’s resilience has not been in doubt, and they have fought back to win more points from losing positions than anyone else in the division.
