Billie Jean King Cup: Great Britain defy Emma Raducanu absence to beat Germany in qualifying tie

Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal led Great Britain to victory over Germany in the Billie Jean King Cup.

Boulter produced a rousing comeback against Tatjana Maria to seal the tie after Kartal beat Jule Niemeier on debut.

Boulter endured a tough opening in her first match of the season on clay as Maria used her slice excellently to take the opening set. But the British No1 used her power to come back and earn a 1-6 6-3 6-1 victory.
