Atherton LR have the opportunity tomorrow to return to the North West Counties Premier Division for the first time in more than a decade.
The Yellows have had a memorable season with young manager Dave Jones at the helm, from their memorable FA Vase run, where they fought their way to the last 16 before falling short on penalties to Lincolnshire’s Bourne Town, to their Edward Case Cup campaign, with a dramatic last-minute winner to send LR into their first cup final in more than 10 years which is still to be played.
