Former Gunners sporting director has issued an emotional farewell to the club after the end of his period of gardening leave
Edu has sent his best wishes to Andrea Berta after the Italian replaced him in the “beautiful role” of Arsenal’s sporting director.
Former Atletico Madrid stalwart Berta has been hired as Arsenal’s new sporting director after Edu resigned from the post in a shock decision in November last year.
Edu has now completed his period of gardening leave and on Thursday night posted a heartfelt message on social media to Arsenal fans, which included him giving his blessing to Berta.
