Ange Postecoglou admits ‘not wise’ mistakes as Tottenham set for end of season evaluation into injury crisis

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou has admitted he was mistaken to use certain players, including Cristian Romero, from the start of the campaign because they had experienced “disruptive” pre-seasons following international tournaments.
Postecoglou’s Spurs, who face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, have been decimated by injuries this term, with Romero featuring in just 17 of their 46 matches so far.
Romero and van de Ven both suffered fresh injuries on their return to the Spurs team after lay-offs in the reverse fixture against Chelsea and they could start together in the Premier League for the first time since that game at Stamford Bridge this week.
